Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Wiring:
  • Interpret and execute wiring diagrams, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
  • Perform wiring and cable routing within control panels according to specifications.
  • Ensure all wiring meets industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Assembly:
    • Assemble electrical control panels, including mounting components such as relays, circuit breakers, switchgear and other hardware.
    • Utilize hand and power tools to secure components to back panels and enclosures.
    • Label all components and wiring accurately for easy identification and maintenance.
  • Testing:
    • Conduct functional testing on assembled panels to ensure proper operation.
    • Use testing equipment such as power tools, multimeters, continuity testers, and other diagnostic tools.
    • Identify and correct any issues found during testing to ensure panels meet quality standards.
  • Quality Control:
    • Inspect panels for defects and ensure compliance with design specifications.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent contamination and errors.
    • Document all work performed and complete necessary quality assurance paperwork.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnose and repair issues with panels during the assembly and testing phases.
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical problems.
    • Provide feedback to improve design and manufacturing processes.

     

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Experience: No experience needed 
    • Education: Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.

    Knowledge, Abilities and Physical Requirements:

    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and high level of precision in work.
    • Basic understanding of electrical theory and components.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 Kilograms.
    • Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
    • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

     

    Working Conditions:

    • Exposure to electrical hazards; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn.
    • May require occasional overtime to meet project deadlines.
