National Compliance Manager
Job Description
This is a key role in ensuring compliance across all retail locations, acting as the second-in-command to the Chief Retail Officer. This role is responsible for developing and enforcing compliance frameworks, overseeing store audits, mitigating risks, and engaging with key commercial stakeholders, including landlords and regulatory bodies.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in compliance, retail operations, or regulatory functions.
- A strong background in multi-site retail compliance, commercial agreements, lease negotiations, and regulatory engagement.
- A proven track record in leading high-performing teams and driving operational integrity is essential.
- Expertise in national retail regulations, stakeholder management, and compliance software.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills are critical.
- Along with the ability to implement compliance strategies at scale.
- You will be a proactive problem solver with high ethical standards and the ability to influence change across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include policy development, regulatory compliance, commercial and legal engagement, and supporting national retail operations. You will oversee risk assessments, training programs, and operational efficiencies while ensuring all stores align with regulatory and business objectives.
This position requires national travel and the flexibility to respond to urgent compliance matters in a fast-paced environment.
