Mining Sales Consultant

A leading company is seeking an experienced Mining Sales Consultant to expand its presence in the mining sector in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have strong technical sales experience and an entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on growing revenue and securing new clients. This role involves prospecting for new business, creating complex quotes, responding to tenders, and engaging with clients both in person and remotely. The successful applicant will also represent the company at industry events and provide market feedback to the Head of Department (HOD). If you have a minimum of 3-5 years of technical sales experience in the mining industry and are a self-confident, adaptable individual with a positive attitude, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Finding and securing new business opportunities within the mining sector and converting them into sales.
• Creating complex quotations and preparing responses to mining-specific tenders.
• Engaging with both current and prospective clients through site visits and consistent communication.
• Collaborating with the internal sales team to successfully close significant deals.
• Representing the company at various mining conferences and industry events.
• Staying informed on market trends and the competitive landscape.
• Managing weekly CRM reporting and maintaining an organized schedule and diary.
• Providing timely and relevant feedback to the Head of Department.

Requirements:

• A matric certificate
• A tertiary degree in Mining or Process Engineering is a plus.
• Must have 3 to 5 years of proven technical sales experience in the mining industry or a related technical field.

• Technical sales knowledge and strong time management and planning skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems, such as MS Dynamics 365.
