Are you a driven and experienced Mechanical Supervisor looking for a permanent opportunity in a dynamic environment?

 

RPO’s client, a leading organisation in Epping, is seeking a motivated individual to join their Engineering department, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To ensure all equipment, machinery, buildings, and premises are in excellent working order, effectively manage subordinates, and maintain accurate records for statistical purposes.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the optimal functionality of all equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities.
  • Manage mechanical employees and contractors to ensure peak performance.
  • Maintain comprehensive records for statistical analysis and reporting.
  • Drive optimal productivity and plant efficiency.
  • Contribute to the planning of all mechanical maintenance projects and tasks.
  • Oversee continuous maintenance on plant machinery.
  • Enhance machine availability and reliability.
  • Coordinate the execution of all mechanical projects.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary raw materials and resources.
  • Ensure projects are completed within specified timelines and budgets.
  • Manage the training and development of employees as needed.
  • Supervise and manage all mandatory inspections on critical machinery.
  • Maintain the safety and security of all machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to correct safety procedures by all subordinates.
  • Oversee regular housekeeping and safety inspections.

Requirements:

  • N4 Mechanical Qualification.
  • Qualified and trade-tested Fitter.
  • 7 years of experience in a similar environment and industry.
  • 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent literacy and numerical skills.
  • Good communication and leadership abilities.
  • Some project management skills.

  • Highly skilled in planning, organizing, and coordinating.
  • Capable of managing and resolving conflict effectively.
  • Possess electrical insight and understanding.
  • Able to think critically and analytically.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and working under pressure.
