Job Description


JOB PURPOSE:

To provide financial, management accounting and service support to Saldanha Factory and Supply Chain Operations, which inform sound strategic decision making required to optimise performance to achieve objectives for growth and profitability.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Duties include but will not be limited to:

  • Provide timeous and accurate monthly management accounts and other financial and management reports:
  • Manage month-end closure process in line with Group deadlines.
  • Create financial reports and analyses with commentary on monthly, quarterly, annual and adhoc basis as required.

 

  • Provide timeous and accurate weekly statistics and variance reports for the factories.
  • Throughputs
  • Efficiencies

 

  • Review product costings.
  • Ensure costings are correct as per standards.

 

  • Manage standard cost updates.
  • Ensure product cards and costs are correct on inventory system.

 

  • Manage quarterly stock counts in various locations.
  • Review and ensure correct stock balances on inventory system.
  • Assist the senior management accountant and HOD’s with the annual budget process.
  • Provide leadership and manage a small team effectively.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Com or relevant tertiary qualification (CIMA advantageous)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Good computer literacy in Microsoft applications especially Excel.
  • Good numeric ability.
