My client is a dynamic and growing tech company committed to delivering innovative solutions to our clients. They are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior PHP Developer to join their team and help us continue to push the boundaries of web development.
Role overview:
As a Junior PHP Developer, you will work alongside a talented team of developers to build and maintain web applications, focusing on backend development. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and grow within a supportive, collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code
- Collaborate with other developers to design and implement new features
- Develop and maintain relational databases, including schema design and writing SQL queries
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in both existing and new applications
- Stay up-to-date with the latest development trends and best practices
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and tools
Skills and experience required:
- Proficient in PHP
- Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, and Node.js is a plus
- Strong understanding of relational databases, schema design, and SQL
- High attention to detail with a passion for quality and accuracy
- Willingness to learn and embrace new technologies
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
The Reference Number for this position is PM60154 which is a Permanent – Hybrid position based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg offering a cost to company of up to R400,000 per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
