Junior IT Technician (Somerset West)
Job Description
ENVIRONMENT:
PROVIDE end-user support, provisioning hardware & software, and troubleshooting end-user IT systems as the next Junior IT Technician wanted by a dynamic provider of cutting-edge products based in Somerset West. Applicants will require at least 2 years’ work experience in a similar role. Any of the following Certifications will prove beneficial – A+, N+, MCSA, MCSE, Azure Fundamentals Certified and Microsoft365 Fundamentals.
DUTIES:
Customers –
- First-line support for IT incidents. Including monitoring and updating the Helpdesk system.
- Work diligently with the team and end-users to keep users’ technology running.
Internal –
- Install and upgrade hardware for laptops and desktops, load operating systems, drivers, and software.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues, e.g., laptops, audio-visual, telephony, printers, etc.
- Maintain an up-to-date Asset Register of all IT equipment.
- Maintain physical network infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 Years of experience in a similar role.
- After hours work is expected.
Advantageous –
- A+, N+, MCSA, MCSE.
- Azure Fundamentals Certified and Microsoft365 Fundamentals Certified.
