We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to join a dynamic hospitality group based in the scenic Hout Bay area. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong understanding of financial processes and a passion for the hospitality environment.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions including bank reconciliations, cashbooks, and journalsCapture and process supplier invoices and paymentsAssist with payroll processing and statutory submissions (e.g., VAT, PAYE)Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end reportingLiaise with external accountants and auditors as requiredSupport management with budget tracking and expense reporting

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 1–2 years bookkeeping or junior accounting experience (hospitality experience preferred)
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, Xero, or similar)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Based in or near Hout Bay with own transport preferred
