Journalist (B2B / Trade Publications / News)

Who are we looking for: A talented and detail-oriented journalist (B2B).

What will you do:

• Research and reporting: Investigate and report on current news, trends and developments impacting various niche industries within the B2B sector
• Interviewing: Conduct interviews with industry professionals, stakeholders and key figures to gather insights and quotes for news articles
• Writing: Produce well-written, compelling news stories tailored to the specific audience of each publication
• Industry knowledge: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the industries covered, including key regulations, market trends and emerging technologies within freight, travel, energy and ICT engineering
• Data interpretation: Analyse and interpret industry reports, technical documents and data to produce accurate, insightful articles
• Collaboration and teamwork: Work closely with editors, fellow writers and industry professionals, demonstrating strong collaboration and teamwork abilities to ensure high-quality content
• Meeting deadlines: Work efficiently to meet daily and weekly deadlines with precision and attention to detail

What will you need:

• Degree in journalism, English, communications, or a related field preferred
• Proven experience in journalism or a related field, with a portfolio showcasing published articles
• Applications are welcome from writers with varying levels of experience who can deliver impactful B2B news stories
• Ability to understand and report on niche industries (freight, travel, tourism, energy)
• Excellent command of the English language
• High attention to detail with the ability to self-edit effectively
• Comfortable with networking and building relationships within various industries
• Enjoys working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
• Owns a car and holds a valid driving license, as travel will be required for interviews and industry events
