Job Description


ENVIRONMENT:
A strong technical & solutions-driven IT Technician is sought by a dynamic provider of Structured & Wireless Solutions to join its Joburg team. You will be responsible for delivering 1st Line Support for networked computers, managing hardware, LAN, low-level server support, software support, and maintaining the printer environment. The ideal candidate must have Matric/Grade 12, A+ and N+ Certifications and 1-2 years working experience in a similar role with working knowledge of networks and network topologies, Microsoft 365 packages, remote monitoring tools and remote support tools and experience with hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. All applicants MUST-HAVE their own reliable and roadworthy vehicle, valid South African Driver’s License and valid DAKRA Report.
 
DUTIES:
  • Provide 1st Line Support for networked computers and manage related hardware.
  • Handle LAN and low-level server support.
  • Offer software support for various applications and systems.
  • Maintain and manage the printer environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues as they arise.
  • Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • A+ Certification.
  • N+ Certification.
 
Experience/Skills –
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in a similar IT environment.
  • Working knowledge of networks and network topologies.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 packages.
  • Experience with remote monitoring tools and remote support tools.
  • Experience with hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
MUST-HAVEs –
    • Own reliable vehicle: Roadworthy, regularly serviced and in a good working condition. Any unreliable/badly maintained vehicles will be considered a breach of contract.
    • Valid South African Driver’s License.
    • Valid DAKRA Report.
 
Advantageous –
  • Knowledge of VoIP systems.
  • Experience with network security and firewalls.
