Job Description


Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires an IT  Store Room Controller at our Head Office in Midrand. You will be responsible for the general management of the IT Store Room. Keep the store room in a neat and organised manner. Responsible for the accurate booking out of IT hardware equipment. Receive new equipment into the system as per Dis-Chem standard operating policies and procedures and ensure that all deliveries are checked and verified for accuracy.

 

Minimum Requirements…

Essential:

  • Grade 12 – Matric or a Senior Certificate
  • Relevant IT or Business Administration qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience

 

Job Specification…

  • Keep accurate record of all IT related stock in the IT store room.
  •  Actively investigate and be aware of stock damages and discrepancies.  
  • Do regular stock counts as per Dis-Chem IT standard operating
  • Ensure accurate filing of IT stock in a logical and easily accessible manner.
  •  Ensure all relevant documentation are completed when booking stock in or out of the IT store room. 
  • Ensure excellent customer service experience for all staff members to assist with the overall productivity of the companies employees.
  • Attend to all customer issues or concerns in the best suitable timeframe.
  • Adhere to IT standard operating procedures when dealing with staff IT matters.
  •  Maintain a productive relationship with IT suppliers and ensure a pleasant work experience when dealing with them.
  • Give Regular feedback to management regarding IT Stock matters.
  • Ensure management are aware of any IT stock issues or concerns to accurately and efficiently facilitate IT related decision making.
  • Inform IT suppliers of any stock damages and/ or discrepancies as per Dis-Chem standard operating procedures. 
  • Housekeeping must be in accordance to Dis-Chem standards. Make sure that your work station is always clean and tidy. 
  • Adhere to Dis-Chem Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  •  Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to Dis-Chem Uniform and personal appearance policy.

Essential:

  • Knowledge of relevant IT Hardware and Software
  • English – Read, write and speak well
  • Be able to interpret financial documents
  • Be self-motivated and deadline driven
  • Trustworthy and Honest. Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Be able to motivate, lead and inspire others
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
