Job Description


ENVIRONMENT:
A dynamic Healthcare Service Provider seeks a strategic-thinking IT Operations Manager whose core role will entail developing IS strategies, implementing solutions and providing technical support. You will be expected to ensure that the organization’s IT systems are not only running smoothly but also evolving to meet future challenges and opportunities while ensuring governance, compliance and alignment to policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will require a Degree and/or Diploma in Information Technology; COBIT & ITIL – IT Governance, IT Systems Management Certifications & 5 years in an IS Manager and systems role.
 
DUTIES:
Team Leadership and Management –
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of IS professionals to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Set clear and realistic goals and expectations, monitor and measure progress and performance of the team.
 
Budget Management –
  • Manage expenditures, and procurement processes, negotiating contracts, licenses, and service agreements with vendors and suppliers.
 
Compliance and Policies –
  • Ensure compliance with IS policies, standards, regulations, and best practices, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO standards.
 
Strategic Planning –
  • In close collaboration with the Chief Information Officer, assist with creating and implementing strategies that align with the organisation’s long-term goal.
 
Stakeholder Management –
  • Ensure appropriate, active and informative relationships with relevant stakeholders are successfully maintained.
 
Reporting and Monitoring –
  • Report on a weekly/monthly basis on all IS matters.
  • Develop and implement fit-for purpose monitoring tools to meet priority needs within available resources.
 
Optimisation and Innovation –
  • Identify and implement new technologies to optimise operations.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve IS processes and services.
 
Innovation and Adaptability –
  • Keep up with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies, such as cloud computing, automation, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement, optimization, and transformation of the IS infrastructure and services, and to deliver value and satisfaction to the organisation.
  • Adopt new ways of working that enhance the IS capabilities and outcomes.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
  • Degree and or Diploma in Information Technology.
  • COBIT & ITIL – IT Governance, IT Systems Management.
 
Experience/Skills –
  • Minimum 5 years in an IS Manager and systems role.
  • Healthcare and financial background will be beneficial.
  • Senior role.
  • Vendor Management.
  • Risk Management.

Systems Engineering and Disaster Recovery –
  • Develop and manage IS systems and best practices designed to prevent or minimize data loss and business.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive disaster recovery plan with a business impact analysis.
 
Planning and Execution –
  • Ability to plan, execute, and evaluate IS initiatives and projects.
