Job Overview:

The Internal Communications Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Internal Communications Manager by assisting with the development and execution of internal communication activities. This role will focus on creating engaging content, managing internal communication platforms, and supporting employee engagement initiatives to ensure clear, consistent, and effective communication across the organization. 

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Management:
• Write, proofread, and edit basic internal communication materials, including announcements, event recaps, and short articles.
• Create visual content such as photos and videos for events, campaigns, and recognition programs.
• Perform basic editing of multimedia content to ensure quality and alignment with internal communication objectives.

Platform Management:
• Upload and manage content on communication platforms such as TV screens, intranet, or other internal systems.
• Maintain updated and visually appealing content on all platforms.

Event Support:
• Attend onsite events to capture moments through photography and videography.
• Provide logistical support for communication at events, including gathering stories and assisting with live updates.

Project Assistance:
• Support the Internal Communications Manager in coordinating communication campaigns, from initial planning to execution.
• Independently manage small communication projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.

Administrative Tasks:
• Maintain a content calendar and archive for internal communications.
• Assist with tracking and reporting on the performance of internal campaigns.

Employee Engagement:
• Act as a point of contact for gathering employee stories and feedback for internal use.
• Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for communication improvements.

Min Requirements:

  • Completed Degree or Diploma in Communication, Marketing, Media or a related field
  • Min 2 years experience in a communications, marketing or project coordinator role

Key Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic skills in photography and videography, including basic editing.
  • Design experience using photoshop advantageous
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Friendly and approachable personality; a team player.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks.
