Intermediate C# Software Developer

A Cape Town-based fintech company driving ambitious change in payments, insights, loyalty and rewards platforms is seeking the services of a Software Developer with expertise in C#, SQL, and AWS to join their dynamic development team.

You will contribute to building scalable systems, collaborate closely with senior software engineers, and take ownership of features while developing towards a senior-level role.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant work experience.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Fintech or payments experience is beneficial.
• Languages: C#, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript (Golang / Node.js a plus).
• Web: HTML and CSS.
• APIs & Integration: Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs.
• Databases: MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, Redis.
• Cloud: Working knowledge of AWS services (Lambda, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, ELB).
• Tools & Frameworks: Git, Docker, Postman, RabbitMQ.
• Architectural Knowledge: Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, serverless, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across application, infrastructure and data layers.
• Consistency and accountability in driving tasks to completion.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Welcomes and acts on feedback with humility and a growth mindset.
• Proactively identifies areas for improvement in code, process, or tooling.

Reference Number for this position is MAT60762 which is a permanent position based in Cape Town offering a cost to company salary of up to R840K per annum negotiable on experience and ability.
