HR Generalist (JHB)
Job Description
ENVIRONMENT:
A leading AgriTech company based in Johannesburg is seeking a proactive and skilled HR Generalist to join their growing team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and contributing to employee engagement and development initiatives. The ideal candidate is experienced in handling various HR functions, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and performance management and will play a key role in creating a positive and productive work environment.
DUTIES:
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Provide support and guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee performance management processes and support managers in conducting reviews.
- Handle employee relations matters, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Administer employee benefits, leave management, and HR systems.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Assist in implementing HR initiatives such as training, development programs, and wellness activities.
- Support in maintaining HR records and generating reports for management.
- Participate in projects to improve employee engagement and culture.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR policies, and best practices.
- Experience with HR systems and tools for managing employee data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and employee engagement.
