Position: Human Resources Executive
Reporting to: Managing Director
Industry: Logistics / Transport / Freight / Courier
Salary: R1.4 million – R1.8 million CTC per annum

To establish, optimize, align, and implement an integrated people strategy that supports organizational objectives and enhances workforce capability within the logistics and transport sector.

 Responsibilities:

  • Design, document, implement, and continuously improve HR processes, policies, and guidelines.
  • Define and execute HR-related business strategies.
  • Align, implement, and manage the BBBEE scorecard.
  • Analyze and present HR performance metrics aligned with industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with labour and employment legislation (BCEA, EEA, LRA, OSHA, NBCRFLI).
  • Drive implementation and adoption of best practice HR competencies.
  • Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to leadership and operations.
  • Ensure business practice optimization aligned to the company’s operating model.
  • Lead HR budgeting and cost control initiatives.
  • Identify, implement, and report on cost-reduction strategies.
  • Oversee payroll, compensation, and employee benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance in recruitment practices aligned with policy and budget.
  • Manage the temporary employment services budget.
  • Drive talent acquisition, recruitment, retention, and succession planning strategies.
  • Oversee employee performance management frameworks and tools.
  • Proactively manage employee relations, labour matters, and legal compliance.
  • Coordinate training, skills development, and annual reporting to relevant bodies.
  • Support and advise managers and employees on HR matters.
  • Lead and facilitate change management initiatives and employee engagement projects.

 Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Experience: 5–8 years in a senior HR management role, with 3–5 years in a unionized environment.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and Word; advanced in PowerPoint.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication, particularly at executive level.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as part of a team and work extended hours when necessary.
