HR Executive (Logistics)
Job Description
Responsibilities
Process and Governance
-
Design, document, implement, and continuously improve Human Resources processes, relevant policies, and guidelines.

Define and execute business strategies.
-
Align, implement, and manage the BBBEE scorecard.
-
Optimize business practices by compiling, analyzing, and presenting performance metrics and benchmarking against industry standards.
-
Ensure continuous improvement practices align with business strategy, the operating model, and compliance requirements.
-
Lead communication and adoption of business practice and technical competencies.
-
Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner.
-
Ensure full statutory legislative compliance with BCEA, EEA, LRA, OSHA, NBCRFLI.
Finance
-
Develop, manage, and report on the Human Resources budget.
-
Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
-
Oversee payroll, compensation, health, and welfare benefit administration.
-
Ensure recruitment practices are compliant with policies and approved budgets.
-
Manage the temporary Employment Services budget.
People
-
Develop and implement HR strategies related to talent acquisition, selection, retention, and succession planning.
-
Oversee performance management through internal systems and frameworks.
-
Manage employee relations and ensure legal compliance.
-
Lead skills development planning and statutory reporting.
-
Provide professional operational HR support and advice to management and staff.
-
Champion organizational change and manage change initiatives.

Ensure effective communication and project management for staff engagement and HR initiatives
Requirements
-
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (minimum requirement)
-
Experience: 5–8 years at a senior management level in HR
-
Intermediate MS Excel and Word proficiency
-
Advanced PowerPoint presentation skills
-
Strong business writing skills in English
-
Proven project management and deadline delivery capabilities
-
Excellent executive-level verbal communication
-
Team-oriented and collaborative work style
-
Ability to work extended hours as needed
-
3–5 years’ experience in a unionized environment required
-
Must be a South African citizen with a clear criminal record
-
Advantageous: Working knowledge of the logistics or courier industry
