A national private tertiary institution is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their team and assist the Facilities Co-ordinator with the overall maintenance/repairs and general upkeep of the campus.
Requirements:
- Matric
- Min 2yrs experience as a handyman/maintenance assistant is required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Basic Electrical and Plumbing certification would be advantageous
- Knowledge of OHS
- MS Office literate
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and general repairs i.e. lighting/electrical etc. on the campus
- Set up venues as per instruction from Facilities Co-ordinator when required
- Paint and general repair work
- Responsible for light installations and carpeting
- Repair equipment and appliances where applicable
- Responsible for minor plumbing and electrical work
- Assist and manage Contractors that come onto the campus
- Perform regular inspections on the campus to identify item and areas requiring attention
- Responsible for sourcing quotes for maintenance and repairs
- Ad hoc handyman duties as and when required
