Our client within the entertainment industry is one of the world’s largest international dance competitions for children and young adults – bringing together dancers from across the globe. They are looking to employ a creative, innovative, and highly motivated individual to join their team as a graphic designer and media coordinator.
The position is full time and is based in Centurion.
Key responsibilities:
Graphic design
- Design posters, banners, and a variety of print materials for events.
- Create engaging content for social media, including graphics, advertisements, and infographics.
- Design materials and ensure all designs are fresh, modern, and visually appealing to the dance community.
- Collaborate with event organisers around the world to develop event branding and marketing materials.
- Ensure consistency in branding and visual identity across all platforms.
Media coordination
- Develop a content strategy for the different dance competitions media presence, including websites and social media channels.
- Write compelling, relevant copy for social media posts that engage with our global audience.
- Lead social media efforts, staying on top of trends and platform algorithms to optimise engagement.
- Manage and grow our various competitions social media communities, responding to followers and maintaining an active presence.
- Coordinate content creation and media coverage during events, liaising with photographers, videographers, and other media professionals.
Qualifications:
- Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design skills, particularly within Adobe Illustrator (experience with other Adobe Creative Suite programs is a plus).
- Proven experience in managing and creating content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
- Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to write engaging and informative social media posts.
- Background or experience in the dance, performance arts, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, creative environment.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of video editing or photography would be an added advantage.
