Fitter Shaft & Winders

A leading mining company based in North West has an exciting opportunity for a Fitter with Shaft & Winders experience. The successful candidate will be responsible to maintain and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems and equipment, as well as conduct daily and weekly inspection on Winders as per MHSA and regulations. Responsibilities:

• Complete daily inspection checklists for tools, equipment and work areas.
• Report problems and make recommendations to Supervisors.
• Conduct fitting work which supports maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and installations of mechanical equipment per work orders and breakdown work orders. Consider direct environment risks.
• Assist Conduct fitting work which supports maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and installations of mechanical equipment per work orders and breakdown work orders.

Requirements:

• Certificate: Grade 12 / N3
• Certificate: Trade Test – Fitter
• Relevant WINDER and ropes training
• 3 Years’ post apprenticeship Fitter in heavy industrial, mining environment and
• 3 years’ experience in WINDERS as a Fitter within mining environment
• 5 years’ experience working with winders in a shaft environment
