Our client, a leading and reputable dealership, is seeking an experienced financial manager to join their team in Newcastle, KwaZulu-Natal. This position plays a critical role in the dealership’s financial operations, helping ensure profitability, sustainability, and growth. Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Monitor dealership cash flow, and financial performance, and identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Supervise and support junior financial staff, fostering a team-oriented environment.
  • Manage dealership financing programs, vehicle loans, and leases, and ensure smooth and compliant financial transactions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to review financial performance and advise on financial strategies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions as necessary.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records and reports, adhering to company and legal standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of three years of experience in financial management, ideally within the automotive or dealership industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, dealership operations, and accounting software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, senior management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
