Financial Accountant
Job Description
Responsibilities
-
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS for SMEs/GAAP.

Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements/management accounts.

Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
-
Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and fixed assets.
-
Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
-
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
-
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Identify process improvements and ensure financial controls are followed.
-
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
-
SAIPA/SAICA articles completed or in progress preferred.
-
3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
-
Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, tax, and compliance regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Pastel, Oracle, QuickBooks).

Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
-
High attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
