Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of our US and European entities. This role requires expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and analysis within a multinational framework, with a strong understanding of US GAAP and tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis

    • Oversee monthly closing processes and reconciliations for US and European entities.
    • Prepare and review monthly financial packs for non-South African companies.
    • Analyze actual versus budget performance and provide actionable insights.
    • Conduct impairment assessments for EMIs, goodwill, and investments at fair value as required.
  • Taxation & Compliance

    • Prepare US tax return schedules and ensure alignment with filed returns.
    • Draft and review US GAAP accounting memos.
  • Payments & Banking

    • Authorize payments using the online banking portal.
    • Prepare and manage monthly payment schedules for US and European entities.
  • Exchange Rates & Consolidation

    • Circulate weekly exchange rates for group entities.
    • Review and prepare group monthly consolidations.
  • Financial Statements & External Reporting

    • Tie in annual and quarterly financial statements with press releases.
    • Support the preparation and review of financial disclosures.
  • Administrative Duties

    • Record minutes of financial and operational meetings.
    • Assist with other ad hoc duties expected of a Financial Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA/CPA qualification preferred).
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in financial management, preferably within a multinational organization.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial consolidation processes and accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
