The following challenging career opportunity is on offer at one of our clients in the mining industry. They are recruiting for a dynamic and motivated person for one of their mines in the Northern Cape:

FINANCE MANAGER
GRIEKWASTAD AREA, NORTHERN CAPE
OR
JOHANNESBURG BASED, WITH REGULAR TRAVELING TO NORTHERN CAPE

Requirements:

• BCom Honours degree
• Pastel / SAGE / VIP Payroll certificate
• Chartered accountant will be preferable
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Finance role of which 2 to 3 years’ experience in a mining environment is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Above average computer literacy skills in MS Office
• Must be a team player with the ability to mult-task across many projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Greenfield experience will be an added advantage

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Financial reporting as per IFRS and GAAP
• Cash management
• Statutory compliance (VAT, Income Tax, Royalty etc.)
• Board pack preparation for Board meetings
• Audit (handling& drafting financials)
• Budgets
• Payroll administration
• Supervision of Finance team
• All other ad hoc finance duties
