About the role

As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss reports, and compiling data for both regular and special accounting reports. Your role involves reviewing and posting journal entries, managing open purchase orders, and participating in budgeting and forecasting processes. You will handle collections and reconciliations, address internal client inquiries, and perform monthly account analysis. Additionally, you will process billing and invoicing, resolve accounts receivable issues, and contribute to special projects and company-wide initiatives. Compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and applicable regulations will be a key focus. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in accounting practices.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel (with strong skills in lookups and pivot tables), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Well-organized, proactive, and open to innovative approaches to improve efficiency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of accounting mapping and financial systems.
  • Native or mother tongue proficiency in Arabic is essential for effective communication with local staff, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency in English is required for reading and understanding international documents, communicating with global stakeholders, and managing reports and systems that may use English.

 

 

What you will be doing

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide administrative supervision and technical guidance to accounting personnel.
  • Review and evaluate the accuracy and completeness of subordinate work.
  • Prepare and review balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and special accounting reports.
  • Post and prepare journal entries; analyze and prepare consolidation entries as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of general ledger and cost center allocations by reviewing open purchase orders.
  • Participate in budget and forecast processes.
  • Follow up on collections and reconcile statements of accounts.
  • Respond to internal client requests and address accounting-related questions.
  • Prepare monthly account analyses, develop adjusting entries, and review significant accounts with management.
  • Process billing and invoicing and enter data into accounting databases.
  • Research and resolve accounts receivable issues.
  • Prepare projections to assess the impact of proposed changes on financial conditions.
  • Participate in and lead special projects and company-wide initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting principles, and applicable regulations.
