Finance Administrator – Sandton
Job Description
Their end-to-end, outsourced solution includes IOR, customs clearance, Import VAT reclaim, tax compliance
services, and more. They pride themselves on delivering a premium service that saves our clients time and money while eliminating the administrative burden and bureaucratic nightmare of international logistics.
Key Responsibilities
• Reconciling bank accounts.
• Preparing and sending out client statements/age analyses
• Collecting funds from debtors
• Finalising and processing supplier invoices
• Finalising and processing customer invoices
• Compiling VAT reporting for filing EU client VAT returns
• Preparing weekly/monthly supplier payment files
• Liaising with suppliers and customers regarding invoicing/payment queries
• Training of all employees regarding compliance with the companies’ policy and procedures
• Draft and analyse ad-hoc financial reports for decision making purposes.
• Liaising with in-house development team on fixing bugs/adding new features
Qualities and skills, we require
The role is open to any candidate that fulfills the criteria below:
• Knowledge of financial principles and accounting software
• Ability to analyse financial data
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Accounting
• Professional certification (e.g. SAIPA/ACCA) is a plus
• Experience in the international logistics/freight industry and multi-currency accounting is a plus
