Field Service Technician

Job Description

An international leader in the fields of medical and safety technology are looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their service team!

Ability to travel internationally

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering
• Valid Driver’s License with own transport
• Valid Passport
• Min 3yrs experience as a Service Technician in a similar industry
• MS Office Literate

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate a business plan/midterm planning in close collaboration and agreement with all functions regarding, expenses and gross profit
• Responsible for Internal Communications within the workshop
• Relationship management with local Distributors and customers
• Maximize the service development through a business plan and implement service strategies that enable the department to achieve its objectives
• Control the budget for the service department
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers
• Organize service process in terms of resources, volume, quality, operating profit and planning
• Maximize revenue from service through a service business plan for your area of responsibility
• Ensure the required number of spare parts are on hand in order to ensure efficient completion of work timeously
• Responsible for care, maintenance and upkeep of designated tools and test equipment issued in order to carry out jobs efficiently
• Servicing, maintenance and repairs of all relevant equipment
• General administration duties
• Oversee stock takes
• Providing quotes to clients when requested
• Prepare Service Forecasts as requested
• Compliance with standards relevant to the company’s certifications i.e. ISO/SANS9001 etc.
