Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Field Service Technician to join our team. This position involves supporting the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for customers both locally and across Africa. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual eager to learn and grow, with a willingness to travel and work in demanding environments.

Responsibilities:

• Shadow senior technicians to learn company procedures and technical processes.
• Provide problem-solving, technical advice, and support to local and international customers.
• Perform installation, commissioning, decommissioning, training, certification, and handover of equipment.
• Conduct minor on-site preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Execute major off-site repairs and refurbishments of equipment.
• Act as the company’s appointed representative onsite, ensuring compliance with MHSA 2.9.2 and 2.6.1 regulations.
• Safely work at heights (up to 6m) following required gravity training.
• Travel frequently by road and air, with extended stays away from home when necessary.
• Maintain a professional and compliant approach in adherence to company and mine safety policies.

Requirements:

• Valid passport, South African ID, and driver’s license (Code 08 minimum).
• Physically and mentally fit with sober habits.
• Ability to work in physically and mentally demanding conditions.
• Willingness to travel and spend time away from home.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrics (advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided).
• Comfort working at heights (training and certification provided).
• Level one first aid certification (training provided).
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills with a customer-focused mindset.
