Engineering Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an Engineering Manager with a strong background in utilities to lead the engineering department at our client’s Heidelberg factory.
In line with our client’s Equity Plan, preference will be given to Equity female candidates
This role involves the efficient and cost-effective management of engineering activities, facilities, and infrastructure, with full accountability for the Opex budget.
You will hold a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering, or a related field, and possess 8+ years of progressive engineering management experience within a plant setting.
Project management experience or a government certificate of competence is preferred.
A proven ability to optimise facilities and infrastructure systems, alongside strong leadership, communication, and relationship management skills, is essential.
Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as proficiency in IT systems such as MS Word, MS Excel, and SAP, is also required.
You will manage both internal teams and contractors, oversee capex and utility projects, enforce EHS standards, and ensure adherence to ISO standards, ensuring operational excellence across the factory.
