Job Description


We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to provide engineering and technical support in a manufacturing environment. The role is focused on ensuring maximum equipment availability, safety, and efficiency by delivering high-quality technical services and maintenance support. This position plays a key role in maintaining PLCs, robots, and other electrical systems to support production and operational excellence.
 
Qualifications
  • National Diploma in Electronic/Electrical/Automotive/IT (NQF 6).
  • Trade Tested Electrician.
 
Experience
  • Up to 3 years in a manufacturing environment as an Electrical/Electronic Technician.
  • Proven experience in PLC and robot maintenance.
 
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP/MES systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs and robotics.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Maintain and program PLCs and robots.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Provide technical support across the factory as required.
  • Control costs, manage resources effectively, and support budget adherence.
  • Deliver customer-focused service by resolving issues promptly and maintaining strong working relationships.
