Electrical Engineer – Cement
Job Description
A dynamic mine based in Limpopo has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer – Cement. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to the development, maintenance, and optimization of electrical systems across our operations. To apply expertise in electrical systems and technology to design, develop, install, and maintain electrical systems and equipment that meet organizational goals and to ensure safety, efficiency, compliance with standards, and innovation in handling electrical operations to support the organization’s infrastructure and production processes.
Responsibilities:
- Designing electrical systems, circuits, and equipment for various applications.
- Developing and testing prototypes of electrical components and systems.
- Creating plans and technical drawings
- Supervising the installation of electrical systems and equipment.
- Conducting routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults in machinery or systems.
- Testing electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Analysing system performance and recommending improvements.
- Conducting failure analysis to identify the root causes of electrical problems.
- Planning and managing electrical projects, including budgeting and scheduling.
- Collaborating with other engineers, contractors, and teams to complete projects.
- Ensuring projects meet technical specifications and deadlines.
- Ensuring adherence to electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or N3
- Minimum valid Code 08 driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 10 years plus relevant work experience in the Cement industry
