E-Learning Specialist
Job Description
Responsibilities:

Design and Develop E-Learning Content:
-
Create comprehensive instructional materials, including interactive modules, video content, assessments, and quizzes.

Utilize industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, Camtasia) to design engaging e-learning courses.

Apply instructional design theories, practices, and methods to create effective online learning experiences tailored to adult learners.
-
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) from various departments to translate complex learning objectives into clear, concise, and impactful e-learning content.

Design logical learning paths and develop structured e-learning programs that align with organizational goals and operational needs.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
-
Set up, manage, and maintain LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, TalentLMS) to efficiently deliver e-learning courses.
-
Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues within the LMS, ensuring a seamless and positive user experience for all learners.

Track learner progress and performance, and generate insightful reports from the LMS to inform decision-making.

Multimedia Production:
-
Create high-quality multimedia elements (audio, video, graphics) to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of learning experiences.
-
Edit videos, record professional voiceovers, and create animations to ensure high-quality content delivery.

Evaluation and Assessment:
-
Develop robust assessments and evaluation strategies to accurately measure learners’ understanding of course materials and overall program effectiveness.
-
Analyze assessment results and feedback to identify areas for improvement and iteratively enhance course design.
-
Conduct usability testing to gather feedback on course functionality, content clarity, and overall learner satisfaction.
-

Continuous Improvement:
-
Stay abreast of the latest e-learning trends, tools, technologies, and best practices in the digital learning space.
-
Implement feedback from learners and instructors to continuously improve content quality, instructional effectiveness, and user experience.
-
Experiment with new teaching methods and technologies, such as virtual reality (VR) or gamification, to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
-

Project Management:
-
Effectively manage e-learning projects from inception to completion, adhering to defined timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
-
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, IT specialists, and developers, to successfully execute e-learning initiatives.
-
Ensure all courses are delivered on time, within scope, and consistently meet high-quality standards.

Administration & Reporting:
-
Provide monthly reports on training conducted, including participation rates, completion rates, and assessment results.
-
Report on training feedback received from attendees, summarizing insights and recommending actionable improvements
-
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- SDF (Skills Development Facilitator) certification.
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP).
- E-Learning Instructional Design Certificate from a recognized organization.

5-6 years of related experience in e-learning development, instructional design, curriculum development, or multimedia content creation.

Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or TalentLMS.

Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, or Camtasia.
-
Ability to use e-learning authoring tools effectively.
-
Proficiency with multimedia editing software (e.g., Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro) for audio, video, and graphic design.
-
Basic understanding of web development fundamentals (e.g., HTML, CSS) to create and manage content.
-
Instructional Design Expertise: Strong knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional design principles, and best practices for creating engaging online learning experiences.
-
Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
-
Creativity: Demonstrated ability to develop innovative, engaging, and visually appealing digital learning materials.
-
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Subject Matter Experts, developers, and end-users.

Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, identify challenges, and troubleshoot technical or content-related issues.

Data Analysis: Ability to analyze user data, feedback, and learning outcomes to continuously enhance course effectiveness and achieve desired results.

Adaptability: Eagerness and ability to keep pace with evolving technologies and emerging trends in the e-learning space.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring high quality and accuracy in all aspects of course design and technical implementation.

Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with instructional designers, developers, and various stakeholders across the organization.

Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, particularly for managing large-scale e-learning projects.
