Job Description
Job Title: Drill and Blast Technician – Mining
Location: Gauteng, South Africa
Hire Resolve’s Leading Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drill and Blast Technician for their mining operations in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the drilling and blasting activities at our mining site, ensuring efficient and safe extraction of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance for self and team through relevant standards and procedures
- Conduct inspections, audits, and investigations to ensure compliance with MHSA regulations and company standards
- Supervise, guide, and coach Drill and Blast Quality Controllers to maintain quality and performance standards
- Identify deviations in drilling and blasting, implement corrective actions, and enhance team efficiency
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in drill and blast processes
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines or Rock Breaker Certificate
- Supervisory Certificate / Shift Boss or Foreman Certificate
- 3 years experience in mass mechanized underground mining production
- Experience in Longhole stoping
Benefits:
- Salary: R800k – R1.2m CTC
