Digital Key Account Manager
Job Description
Media24’s News division is looking for a Digital Key Account Manager with proven experience in advertising and strategic sales and marketing solutions. The person should be confident with corporate liaison and have the ability to grow digital advertising revenue, commercialize events and drive special projects and content marketing on Media24’s digital platforms. Responsibilities include generating sales, service a portfolio of key accounts, generate new business and grow current sales by regularly calling on designated clients and accounts to sell the company’s products and services within the geographic or product boundaries and thereby meet predetermined revenue targets. The incumbent will report to the Sales Director.
The main purpose of the role is to develop and implement business strategies for the sales portfolio across Media24 News Digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:

- Analysing and identifying which accounts are key to the company at any one time (i.e. produce most profit for the company), and implement procedures to ensure that they receive premium customer service;
- Develop and implement key account plans and approaches in line with the overall strategy formulated by the sales manager (regional / national);
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for key customers ongoing to achieve predetermined sales targets and margins;
- Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing key clients to negotiate and close deals;
- Create tailored solutions that meet the client’s short and long-term needs;
- Build strategic working relationships with clients and maintain a high level of client contact (telephonic and face to face) to ensure that their specific requirements are addressed, to monitor and grow existing business;
- Analyse potential sales opportunities by using data analyses, segmented research and information available to identify the attributes most valued by these potential clients;
- Provide professional and exceptional client service in all interactions with clients;
- Closely monitor competitors and maintain client database;
- Keep all administrative work updated;
- Report on sales opportunities and achievements as required (weekly and monthly)
- Maintain a high level of relevant industry knowledge.

Minimum Requirements:
- Grade12 or equivalent. Preferable tertiary education in sales and media
- 3-5 years’ experience within a digital sales/target driven environment
- Proven experience dealing with digital advertising agencies and client direct
- Valid drivers’ license
