Diesel Technician (Commercial Vehicles)- Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal

Our client is looking for a experienced,  Diesel  Technician with Dealership Commercial Vehicle experience. The position requires a detail orientated professional with strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

Minimum Requirement:

• Matric or higher
• Diesel Trade Certificate
• Minimum 3 years experiences in similar role
• Code 14 licence with PDP
• Electrical experience advantageous

Job Description: 

• Support the Workshop Foreman by maintaining positive internal relationships.
• Deliver exemplary performance and manage tasks efficiently.
• Accurately record hours worked, sold, and consumables used, adhering to company policies.
• Keep the workplace clean and follow PPE requirements for each job.
• Ensure compliance with the Labour Relations Act and manage hours with the foreman.
• Provide clear, concise feedback to the workshop manager and promote the company’s reputation.
• Record all lubricants and parts used on job cards and follow management’s processes.
• Build strong relationships with parts staff and comply with FAW SA standards.
• Participate in training, share knowledge, and focus on personal development.
• Maintain professionalism during breakdowns, ensuring preparedness and proper behavior.
• Follow road rules, ensuring vehicles are clean and presentable.
• Foster positive relationships with peers, apprentices, and colleagues. Mentor and support apprentices effectively.
• Ensure accurate warranty claims with the 3 C’s: Complaint, Cause, and Correction.
• Adhere to Health and Safety rules and encourage compliance within the team.
