Cybersecurity Analyst
Job Description
We seek a skilled and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join a Sandton-based team. This role demands expertise in real-time threat monitoring, incident response, and cybersecurity risk management to safeguard organisational assets.
You will possess 3–5 years of SOC or IT security experience, proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, endpoint security, and network security protocols.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, malware, and TCP/IP networking is essential.
Experience with forensic analysis, cloud security platforms, and threat intelligence tools will be highly valued.
Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC equivalents.
Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are critical, as is the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities include monitoring security logs, investigating and mitigating incidents, managing vulnerabilities, and fine-tuning security tools for optimal threat detection.
You will also stay ahead of evolving cyber threats, contribute to regulatory compliance efforts, and support employee security training initiatives.
