RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collect and evaluate financial and operational data, identifying cost-saving or revenue-generating opportunities through thorough analysis.
- Establish standard cost benchmarks across the value chain, analyze variances against actual costs, and investigate discrepancies
- Develop comprehensive periodic and ad-hoc reports to support informed decision-making by management
- Contribute to the development of business cases for new expenditures and perform cost-benefit analyses for potential process or business changes, including designing and maintaining KPI monitoring systems to assess their success and impact
- Support budget preparation and implement a robust monitoring system, including generating monthly financial reports
- Conduct market research as needed to align practices with industry standards and best practices
Requirements!
- Possession of an Honours Degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or Actuarial Science (including postgraduates holding CIMA, CFA, or CA(SA) qualifications, if applicable).
- 2 – 3 years proven experience as a cost or data analyst
- Advanced Excel skills required (SQL, Power BI and other such skills are additive)
- Advanced levels in Microsoft Office Package
- Project Management skills beneficial
