Commercial Vehicle Technician

Our client is seeking an experienced commercial vehicle/diesel technician with dealership experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault-finding and diagnosis on tractors/trucks by interpreting product performance issues and/or failures.
• Produce work of acceptable standards by following directives provided in workshop manuals.
• Adhere to repair and maintenance instructions and specifications as outlined in the manual.
• Deliver excellence in customer service by meticulously following procedures and processes.
• Provide detailed and accurate reports on diagnoses, component/part assessments, failures, observations, actions, and recommendations.

Requirements

• Practically and mechanically oriented.
• Trade test certificate as a qualified diesel mechanic.
• Minimum of three years of experience.
• Ability to comply with OEM standards.
• Logical and clear thinking skills.
• Self-discipline.
• Psychologically and medically fit.
• Good vision and ability to distinguish different colours.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Safety-conscious to prevent accidents.
• Business sense and sound judgement.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality work with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Negotiable basic salary (depending on experience) + incentives + medical aid and pension.
