Commercial Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Oversee commercial activities including procurement, contracts management, logistics, and supply chain functions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and mining industry regulations.
• Negotiate, manage, and monitor supplier and service provider contracts to ensure cost efficiency and service delivery.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support operational and production requirements.
• Monitor and control departmental budgets, ensuring effective cost management.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and finance teams to align commercial objectives with operational needs.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant Degree or Diploma
• 5 years’ experience commercial/supply chain management within the mining industry.
• Experience on ERP Systems (SAP/COUPA)
• Good understanding of fuel usage, production volumes, and cost efficiency in mining operations.
• Ability to assess fuel costs per ton and ensure cost-effective mining services.
• Familiar with mining equipment such as excavators, shovels, ADTs, PDS systems, and road trains.
• Valid Driver’s License
