Job Description:A leading manufacturer in the construction sector is seeking a Design Engineer to prepare technical layouts and cost-effective project quotes. This role suits a detail-driven civil engineering professional with a strong understanding of structural design and client-focused communication.Working Hours:Mon–Thurs: 07:00–17:00 | Fri: 07:00–15:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret structural/architectural drawings for hollow-core slab layouts
• Calculate spans, loads, and quantities for design accuracy
• Prepare clear, accurate drawings and cost quotations
• Collaborate with sales and production to align on design and pricing
• Support clients with technical input during the quoting process

Requirements:

• BTech or BEng in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction or related field
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit or similar CAD experience is a bonus)
• Analytical, detail-focused, and strong communication skills
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English
• Own reliable transport
