CATERING MANAGER & HOUSEMOTHER (Live-In, Preparatory School)

Our client seeks to urgently appoint a suitably experienced Catering and Live-In Housemother for a Preparatory School.  Accommodation allows for a single person only.

The role requires a Grade 12/Matric with at least 5 years’ experience working in a similar position or environment, a compassionate and caring nature and the ability to relate well to children and creating a home away from home for the children. Must be computer literate with own reliable transport.

Responsibilities include assisting with menu development and functions menus, understanding diverse dietary requirements, assisting in baking and food prep as well as understanding food costings, ordering and stock management, with solid knowledge of HSE and staff management.

This role would suit a dynamic, enthusiastic, and innovative individual with strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills who is fully proficient in English and can manage first aid requirements, is prepared to work long/shift hours and over weekends.
