Buyer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Buyer/Designer to join our client in the Fashion industru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and selecting products for their company while also assisting with the designing process. The Buyer/Design will work closely with various departments to ensure that products meet the needs and expectations of their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identified and sourced fast-moving fashion accessories, gift items, and beauty tools aligned with seasonal trends and retailer strategies.

• Built product ranges tailored to various retail formats and target customer profiles.

• Managed critical paths, pricing structures, MOQ negotiations, and production timelines with overseas suppliers.

• Monitored product performance, reacted to sales data, and implemented repeat or markdown strategies as needed.

• Created accurate product CADs and mock-ups for internal reviews and development presentations.

• Designed packaging artwork including hang tags, header cards, and blister packs in line with retailer guidelines and brand positioning.

• Assisted in the creation of marketing materials and seasonal lookbooks for internal and client-facing use.

• Ensured brand consistency across all visual outputs, including product packaging and presentation materials.

• Researched local and international markets to identify trend directions and analyze competitor activity.

• Translated seasonal trends into commercial product concepts supported by moodboards and color palettes.

• Presented concept boards and product ranges to senior leadership and retail buyers to guide development and buying decisions.

Qualifications:

• Over 3 years of buying experience in retail and fashion, with a strong focus on trend-led, commercial product development.

• Skilled in sourcing and developing products across fashion accessories, beauty tools, and gifting categories.

• Experienced in working with Chinese suppliers, managing import timelines, cost negotiations, and critical path adherence.

• Proven ability to translate trends into high-volume, mass-retail products with strong sell-through performance.

• Intermediate graphic design skills with hands-on experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

• Created accurate product CADs and tech packs using Illustrator for development and supplier communication.

• Used Photoshop for image retouching, product mock-ups, and visual merchandising assets.

• Designed presentation layouts, catalogues, and lookbooks in InDesign for both internal and client-facing use.

• Strong commercial eye with the ability to balance trend forecasting and market relevance.

• Proficient in Excel for budgeting, costing, order tracking, and data analysis.

• Confident presenter with excellent planning and communication skills across teams and stakeholders.
