Based at the GIZ Country Office in Pretoria, you will work under the Head of Finance and Administration on a 24-month contract, joining a diverse and multicultural team.
We are offering two opportunities for Business Partner Registration Assistants who will support the accurate registration, verification and maintenance of business partner data while ensuring compliance with tax, legal and GIZ regulations.

What You Will Be Doing
- Register and maintain SAP business partner master records including bank details, tax information and payment terms
- Conduct business partner verification to ensure compliance, integrity and suitability
- Maintain accurate data and records to support payments and reduce compliance risks
- Support vendor compliance with tax regulations and internal policies before processing transactions
- Coordinate effectively with colleagues, head office and other GIZ offices on partner registration issues
- Support knowledge management, process development and digital transformation in the unit
- Assist in tender openings, invoice registration and mailbox processes when required
- Prepare for internal controls and audits applying risk management to ensure business continuity
Required Qualifications, Competencies and Experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Diploma in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Accounting, Economics or a similar area
- Experience with an international donor agency
Professional Experience
-
At least 3 to 5 years’ professional experience in a comparable position
Other Knowledge, Additional Competences
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ICT tools, computer applications (MS Office) and internal GIZ systems
- High level of attention to detail and meticulous documentation
- In-depth understanding of financial planning and accounting
- In-depth understanding of compliance and tax regulations
- Experience in confidential handling of data and information
- Very good written and verbal communication in the English language
- Ability to work with international staff with good intercultural, diversity and inclusion understanding
- Customer service and solution orientation
- Great team commitment and willingness to work positively with others
- Ability to deliver on time and to respect deadlines
- Task, solutions, outcomes and results oriented
- Time, prioritization and workflow management capabilities
- Willingness to scale up skills as required by the tasks to be performed and to take on new tasks if required and agreed with the line manager
