Au Pair

Job Purpose:
To provide compassionate, reliable, and proactive care for two children (ages 3 and 8), ensuring their safety, happiness, and development within the Silver lakes Estate. This includes managing school drop-offs and pick-ups, transporting them to activities, assisting with snack time, planning and implementing fun, educational, and stimulating activities, and fostering a positive environment that promotes their well-being and growth.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and roadworthy car
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English
• First Aid Level Certificate (essential)
• Non-smoker

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Pick up and drop off children for school
• Transport children to extracurricular activities
• Prepare and assist with snack time after school
• Provide opportunities for physical activity, such as games and exercises to improve coordination and motor skills
• Plan and organize age-appropriate, creative activities (such as arts and crafts, puzzles, storytelling, and learning games) that are both fun and educational
• Provide full-day care during school holidays (when needed)

Other Information:

• Working hours: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Availability for light babysitting on two weekends per month
• Must be willing to travel with the family for vacations to assist with childcare
