Accounts Payable Lead
Job Description
The Accounts Payable Lead role is a six-month fixed-term contract position. You will be responsible for managing and improving the Accounts Payable processes and financial reporting within the Africa business.
This includes overseeing payment projections, supplier reconciliations, policy compliance, and financial reporting for various funds. The role demands interpreting and analysing financial performance against key business metrics, ensuring accurate financial data for budget holders, and optimising fund expenditure.
You will demonstrate expertise in:
- A Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting,
- 3-5 years of management experience,
- Experience in handling substantial book values in retail, FMCG, or quick-service restaurant sectors.
- Experience in global manufacturing is advantageous,
- Knowledge of Oracle systems (JDE, HFM) and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with financial controls and auditing processes is beneficial.
You will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage teams, implement process improvements, and deliver reliable, high-quality supplier services.
Adaptability, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to organisational goals are critical, alongside the ability to synthesise diverse information and manage competing demands effectively.
