Job description
To drive creative strategies in line with client briefs/campaigns
Key outputs
- Taking ownership of projects from start to finish, applying instinct and insight at the heart of the response
- Galvanising and engaging a bespoke team to develop the ‘big idea’
- Engaging brand stakeholders for approval on execution and detail of delivery
- Working with the design team to deliver clear and compelling storytelling to all pitches
- To attend pitches where there is an opportunity to present.
- Demonstrate thought leadership within your immediate team and the business as a whole, challenging the briefs if necessary, mining all available insight sources and providing a fresh and inspiring perspective.
- Be immersed in the PMB brands and work collaboratively with key stakeholders – e.g. editorial, sales, client team, marketing, planning and delivery to ensure quality control and excellence on all briefs and ensure costs match the proposal before being sent to the agency or client
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their categories and their business and communication challenges
- Elevate our creative approach to briefs, considering innovative partners & platforms, giving PMB a competitive edge
- Ensure all creative deals pitched are profitable
Educational qualifications
- Marketing / Communications degree or diploma OR Business Management degree or diploma
Required knowledge and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in media sales/strategy
- Proven track record of achieving annual targets
- Proven track record in developing strategic marketing solutions for advertisers

- Understanding of the advertising and communications industry
- Knowledge of the radio market
- Understanding of non-traditional advertising and marketing platforms
- Ability to recognise opportunities for clients and ideate creative strategies

- You must be curious, looking up not down, helping us and our customers see the world through a different lens. In turn, you should be able to apply that perspective to creatively address our customer’s challenges.
- We are a broad business with multiple divisions. As a creative strategist, you need to be a connector linking up our assets and talent internally, and inspiring all to work together.
- As well as internal engagement we are looking for storytellers who can simplify an often-complex solution, bringing it to life for our customers in a persuasive way that demonstrates impact.
- Although directly comparable experience is not essential, we expect you to have the confidence and gravitas to challenge constructively when appropriate to maintain excellence across our product offering.
