Job description
Responsible for accurate data collection, processing, and analysis across both digital and traditional platforms. Assists in developing solutions from sprawling data sets, utilizing digital tools and techniques to convert insights into strategic opportunities for the organisation.
Stays updated on all local and international developments and innovations across not only radio but also digital media, social platforms, and emerging technologies, ensuring that PMB’s current and future competitive strategies are informed by the latest trends in the digital media landscape.
Key outputs
Planning and reporting
- Post-campaign reporting: Input schedules and interpret results for both digital and traditional media.
- Optimised Planning: Build optimised media plans and write a rationale based on the planning approach.
- Tracking and Monitoring: Track campaigns and suggesting optimisation where needed
Insights
- Use cross-tabulated research tools and reports from internal or external sources (RAMS, WizzAD, WARC, HootSuite, EGTA, Google, etc.) to extract insights and develop presentations based on client and station briefs providing insight into buying and decision-making behaviour in the market.
- Update monthly reports such as digital, station profile, station deep-dive reports, etc. with the necessary and respective data.
Audience reporting
- Provide and update monthly, quarterly and annual reports and sales tools, including, but not limited to;
- Station and show profiles
- Duplication reports and station rebuttals
- Digital audience reports
- Competitive AdSpend reports including Top 100
- Internal intelligence: Top client AdSpend reports and sales target lists
Media sales strategy input
- Assess various tactical solutions for the various segments
- Find a macro approach to meeting client needs and finding effective campaign opportunities
- Post Campaign efforts to further improve upon within the business.
- Deliver efficient, succinct strategic insights to clients and creative solutions.
- Understand the relationship between Live and Archive data.
Educational qualifications
- Media-related qualification
- Digital qualification advantageous
Required knowledge and experience
- Two to five years of work experience in an insights, media planning and/or research role
- Understanding market research and data analysis
- Knowledge of media measurement and analysis
- Knowledge of the digital ecosystems and platforms; and how they integrate into traditional media
- Knowledge of business operations and procedures
- Essential to have strong digital as well as traditional media experience
Skills
- Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Telmar Suite: Surveytime (and the ability to crosstab surveys within), RBP; knowledge of Transmit would be advantageous.
- Digital tools: HootSuite, SimilarWeb, Google Trends, etc.
