Production Supervisor Fleet Systems
Job Description
Location: Northern Cape, South Africa
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the operation of fleet systems within the mining industry in the Northern Cape region
- Supervise a team of fleet operators and technicians to ensure efficient and effective operation of mining equipment
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance, ensure equipment availability, and minimize downtime
- Monitor fleet systems data and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and prioritize repairs and preventative maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate fleet movements and optimize production schedules
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Provide leadership and guidance to fleet operators, technicians, and other personnel to promote a positive and productive work environment
- Prepare and maintain operational reports, performance metrics, and other documentation as required by management
Requirements:
- National Diploma in Mining Engineering, or a related field
- Open Cast Blasting Certificate
- Supervisory Certificate
- Minimum 4 years’ operational surface Mining Production /Control Room experience
- Minimum of 3 year operational in-depth technical Dispatch system experience
- At least 2 years’ supervisory experience
- Knowledge of fleet management software and systems, including GPS tracking, telematics, and maintenance scheduling tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices within the mining industry
