Citrusdal Cluster Manager
Job Description
This position is responsible for effective communication with all farm owners, representatives and stakeholders to ensure all educational centres are fully functional, operational and equipped.

Management of initiatives and activities
- Send any official communication to the relevant farm representative.
- Attend all the programme training to streamline communications between the initiative coordinators and the farm.
- Assist with building positive relationships with the communities, centre staff, and farm owners and overseeing the arranging of regular parent meetings with all the relevant farms.
- Coordinate and host an annual farm owner’s day to further engagement.
- Ensure the well-being of children enrolled in the various centres and programmes.
- Ensure that quality services are delivered and that these initiatives benefit the children enrolled.
- Take full responsibility for establishing action committees on the relevant farms.
- Identify any programme-related problem areas within the Pebbles programmes.
- Develop and maintain the organisation’s yearly calendar.
- Compile the Pebbles Monthly report for the Citrusdal region.
Centre Management
- Take overall responsibility for the general upkeep of the building and outdoor areas of all the assigned centres.
- Supervise any volunteers who are placed in the designated cluster of farms and maintain regular contact.
- Take overall responsibility for checking the centre inventories.
- Sort and distribute donations fairly between farm clusters.
- Purchase and distribute all the educational resources as required by the individual centres.
- Plan and execute annual centre year-end prize giving.
Initiative Support
- Assist with centre registrations in Citrusdal and ensure that facility registration does not lapse.
- Coordinate Fire and Health site inspections as part of the centre registration process.
- Assist in liaising with the farms and facilities to ensure that the registration file for each ECD and ASC facility is updated with the necessary documents and information.
- Assist in supporting various centres with departmental reports, registrations, or any other relevant documentation.
Staff Management
- Manage and support subordinates, including performance management and staff development.
- Assist with managing all centre staff employed by either Pebbles Project or the farm.
- Assist with the recruitment of staff for relevant initiatives and activities.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Monitor and evaluate all initiatives and activities presented in the Citrusdal centres.
- Contribute to service development by identifying gaps in initiative implementation.
- Assist with collecting relevant and appropriate data needed to effectively monitor the relevant services.
- Take responsibility for the timely (monthly) sharing of M&E information to the relevant management system.
Public Relations
- Assist and support the fundraising team with social media posts, suggesting interesting content and providing relevant photos.
- Assist in drawing up a yearly social media plan.
- Assist in taking out donors and visitors to farms.
- Assist with hands-on days when donors or funders visit the Pebbles Project—arrange volunteers, organise needed materials, liaison with farm owners, and assist with actual renovations.
