Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Oil and Gas)

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

Qualifications:
– BSc in Chemical Engineering or related field
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
– Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred
– Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
– Experience with design, construction, and operation of oil and gas facilities
– Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
– Proficiency in relevant software and tools

Responsibilities:
– Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects related to oil and gas facilities
– Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical systems and components
– Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure accuracy and efficiency
– Provide technical support to other team members and departments
– Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and contractors
– Conduct site visits and inspections to identify and resolve mechanical issues
– Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines
– Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
– Participate in meetings, presentations, and training sessions
– Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices
